1. Undergraduate:

• Teaching the courses related to community Medicine in basic and clinical sciences stages to medical students. This teaching-learning process is for the students to get acquainted with health and prevention topics, including courses: Principles of health services, principles and methods of epidemiology, family health and demography, statistics and research methods, and epidemiology of common diseases in Iran. The department also holds the proposal writing method in several workshop sessions for medical students in the clerkship.
• Training medical students for the community medicine clerkship and internship in urban/rural health centers.

2. Post graduate:

• Setting up and training family physicians as the empowerment modules, (MPH). currently, this program has stopped.
• Since 2016, the department has started the family medicine residency program with the support of other educational departments of the medical school (Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Gynecology, etc.). This program has stopped since September 2020.
