 Clinical Biochemistry department of Kerman University of Medical Sciences was officially established by Dr. Ahmad Gholamhosseinian in 1979. Before that, Biochemistry was taught by Dr. Mirzaei the first president of the Kerman university of medical sciences. The Master's program in Clinical biochemistry was established in 1991. And the Clinical Biochemistry PhD program also was started in 2008. Currently, the faculty members of department include three professors, two associate professors and four assistant professors. So far twenty-five Ph.D. student and sixty-four MSc students have completed their studies in the Clinical Biochemistry department.


 Currently the Doctoral Program of Clinical Biochemistry, Parasitology, Bacteriology, and Physiology, as well as the Master’s Program of Clinical Biochemistry, Physiology, Bacteriology, Immunology, General Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Informatics, and different Programs of Laboratory Sciences courses were taught in the clinical biochemistry department.
